Estudiantes de La Plata launches institutional protocol to prevent and address situations of violence and discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation. This protocol aims to promote spaces free from discrimination and violence, strengthen prevention, generate areas of trust and security for those who experience these situations, and provide channels for guidance, accompaniment, and institutional intervention. The authority responsible for implementing the protocol is the Board of Directors, through the Gender and Diversity Area, which has the functions of receiving consultations and complaints, providing containment, guidance, and advice, evaluating intervention and accompaniment strategies, articulating with specialized organizations when necessary, and promoting awareness, prevention, dissemination, and training actions. Among its guiding principles, the protocol establishes respect for the dignity and privacy of individuals, confidentiality, non-revictimization, informed consent, speed, diligence, containment, accompaniment, and intervention with a gender perspective. Additionally, the Club provides a resource center with spaces for attention, advice, complaint, and accompaniment in La Plata, Berisso, and Ensenada, with the purpose of facilitating access to specialized organizations and devices in situations of violence and/or violation of rights. In this way, Estudiantes continues to strengthen an institutional policy aimed at generating safe spaces for its community, promoting relationships based on respect and equality, and maintaining an active commitment to eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender.
